Executive function or procrastion?

I regularly talk with my characters, don't you?

I talk with my characters about rereading their story thus far...

There. I got it. The letters, not highlighting. I like this purple. I still want to move to my computer, but this might not be so bad. I'm wondering if we have enough colors without getting into custom colors for all 5 of us. Do we want to pick colors before starting to really converse?

Uri- sounds good to me. I like this orange.

Yana- in the small block, this looked like maroon, but I like the salmon it seems in more letters.

Lukas- this is a pretty blue, with a nice tint of grey.

Ava- and this green pleases me. Giggles, I used a dommy word! So are you thinking about writing using color more than any dialogue tag or beats to keep track of who is talking?

That seemed like an interesting way to proceed, precede? I feel like I should look up those words again.

Before you post this. Why didn't you type your thought about answering Ava with more than a yes or no.

I'm wondering how it might change this if I wrote with dictation when I'm not able to as easily fix the color in the moment. And then I fixed the color afterward. I mean I could just say the characters name and use a hyphen at the beginning. What do you all think? Unfortunately we have not had much time yet in this conversation and I don't know your individual voices well enough. 

אורי [Uri]- look at you spending the time to get over to Hebrew since dictation cannot figure out my name. Rather than changing the color. Of course honey started going fast so that you couldn't fix color like you had hoped to either. It's good that she is a family pet and not a service dog like יונה [Yonah]. 

I also noticed that I don't remember the colors that I thought would work well enough for everyone. [I didn't fix this to my purple, so making a note for readers that this is me talking.]

Lukas- well there are always going to be struggles and a learning curve with any technology or artistic changes. Especially when technology and art contribute or combine.
 
Ava - I think you know us better than you really think you do. I also think that you need to search online about executive dysfunction. Look for tools like you've been meaning to since unfortunately there is the limit with me being a character that I cannot suggest tools that you do not already know. 

Correct. That is a sad truth. But I do imagine that Beth is correct in suggesting executive function as her problem and by extension mine. Goodness, the wind has really picked up. I hope honey and I get home before any rain. 

Yana - funny that it is Lukas's color that you know. Although he was the last person to speak when we paused on this conversation the other day. But I was going to ask if you would like a body double when you wake up from your nap maybe to look online for executive function tools. That said I think the idea of a timer to read a good idea and maybe the first school Finch golf. Dictation fails LOL

And yes I'm leaving the dictation fails as well as the name labels before I was able to go back and edit that because I would like to see differences. Okay time for testosterone, frustrating that dictation cannot pick up things over running water. I do still hope to get around to looking up things for executive function. I think it outranks especially taking time to finish the book for tomorrow. 

Good call. But shouldn't you go back and check the color that Uri wants?, since you just paused to type his name? And why is dictation being silly with punctuation or is it you joey? 

And was it getting even with you, deciding that you were talking about a baby kangaroo? I like that thought .

You realize that teasing would be unkind if we didn't know how Joey feels about they're given name? And it is sad to see dictation fail at homonyms.

It seems so to me. You found a page with executive function tools to start with. I can still body double with you to read it and try out things. You do need to decide “time to spend” goal to add to Finch. And I think we’ve agreed- executive function not procrastination is what’s going on.

And so time to run spell check and get about posting this! You have at least one person who’d like to read this. And I’m looking forward to you reading and figuring out what you’re doing so Yana and I can have some “screen time” in the story. Since you’ve been focused on stuff with Lukas and myself for so long. (Joey speaking, this is Uri, I can't find quite the right orange.)

Yes. We especially need to spend some time, whether written or not, Uri. Time to be awake. 🙂
